Have you ever wanted to try something new, like go on a trip, start a new business or even ask for a raise (instead of just settling for the incremental increase); or maybe face a difficult problem head on? If so, go for it! Fear not!

There is a 50/50% chance you’ll get what you ask for if you do. There’s a 100% chance that you won’t if you do not. I’ve read in several places and heard that those who are successful in life become successful because of their effort and belief that they will eventually succeed.

Don’t think you can do it by yourself? Well, you don’t have to. As a matter of fact you never have to go at it alone. Psalm 27 says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Meditate and look deep into all the possible meanings of this one passage of scripture. First of all, I like it because it is a declarative statement. The writer is saying [to me]—“Okay, no matter what else is going on—I know this to be true”.

If you are faced with a difficult, stressful situation and you begin to sense fear; I suggest you declare to yourself, “the Lord is my light and my salvation… whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

Believe and realize that God has your back. Then you can truthfully and boldly say, “I ain’t scared”.
