After all that is said and done, sometimes we reach a point in our decision making process when we simply ask “What should I do?”

Making a right choice at that point is crucial. I have good news. Philippians 4:4-9 describes a process that will assist and guide you in making a sound decision. In essence, you should: Be happy, give thanks, focus on what you want to do; and relax. The actual scripture is much more robust. There is a part that says, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (God’s Living Word).  To me, that says that there is hope beyond what you or I, or anybody else can comprehend.

After you have navigated to the point of making a “right” decision—the passage of scripture then says to focus on whatever good there is in what you are trying to accomplish. Again, the actual scripture is much more powerful. It reads, “Finally brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, if there be any praise—think on these things. Those things which you have both learned and received, heard and seen in me; do. And, the God of peace shall be with you.”

Remember:  Be happy. Give thanks. Focus on what you want to do; and relax.
