I’m in my mid fifties.  I’ve tried both, Republican and Democrat parties and found them both useless for my intentions and purposes.  I love the Progressive movement and find the Green party to be very similar in mission, but, I’m not too sure I want to join a party.  I’m just not a big fan.

Why can’t we just agree on issues and support candidates who represent our goals and viewpoints? And, when election day comes, that person is the one we ride with.  That would so be the envy of the system!  It would be plain, simple and straight to the point.

I know… I know… Yes. It would be hard to organize without a formal organization being formed; but, on the flip side, let the candidate be the organizer of his campaign and explain why they would be best suited to represent the area or people they are running to represent.  We could use a hash tag like #NotMeUs, like we do now; followed by a series of other identifying tags for city, state district, etc.

I guess it would still be a pseudo party… but without all the extra.  The point I’m making is, voting doesn’t have to be hard or difficult.  And I don’t think it was ever intended to be …unless you were trying to deliberately keep people from voting.  The simpler it is, the easier it will be to monitor and avoid fraud and suppression.  All in all 2020 is still a great year. Partially because it’s revealing a lot of problems in the way things work in America.  It’s also showing the more people try to hold others down, they are only harming themselves.  Comment. Share.
