So, I said that the group is all about synergy.  So, I guess we should start with that. A definition of synergy is “the interaction or cooperation of two or more agents to produce a combined effect greater that the sum of their separate effects” –Google.

As an administrative support specialist, I worked on learning what my client wanted to do from an owner aspect, learned the task, then provided the service as support staff. Perhaps many support staff do the same.

Where the difference comes is many support people wait to be directed in what to do or what to accomplish.  Sometimes, the person you are supporting won’t have that guidance or be able to provide the answers for you –and that is where the mismatch occurs.  Often problems can be solved by effective communication and more interaction.

In this Group, I’m hoping that I can create a space where professional support people already have a set of skills (including listening), that they can offer to clients seeking their support.  In addition, I’m hoping that bloggers, writers, content creators and salespeople can also work with each other to create opportunities where everyone can benefit from if at all possible.  This is where it gets crazy.

Consider the simple rules of the group, Be honest. Be Fair. Put effort into what you do.  Let’s take a look at some truths about networking.  (hmm … this might end up being an eBook)…lol…

Networking can be hard.  People are coming into the space from different positions—i.e.

1. Some people have money, so they feel pretty good about everything—they are just there for inclusion.
2. Other people are there to get new ideas, perhaps pick up something they can implement back at the office.
3. There are others who come to the space out of desperation. They have great ideas, and perhaps skill but no money—so they really need motion and opportunity.
4. Lastly, there is a group who have a wealth of knowledge, willing to share, willing to talk about resources, willing to do… because they want to see people win. They know that there is enough for everybody.

And there may be varied other reasons and positions why people want to come to a group networking space.  I’m just hoping that our group can be accommodating to all who choose to join.  Just be honest about why you are here. Get in where you fit in, and do your best.

Having said all of that, I’m a combination of 2,3 and 4. Lol 😁 I’ve mentioned it before, but… I’ll take the opportunity to mention it again. My website is https://dhspeller.com . I’m here to create motion, get opportunities and help where I can.

It’s a basic blog site, but I’ve incorporated things I’ve had ideas about for years.  I’m 58 now and need to get a plan together… ok I was a late bloomer, and literally there was a lot going on–don’t judge me.

So, basically, My site is an eclectic site. I like to blog and write and I want to somehow make money from that.  I want to work with other bloggers and writers and salespeople and businesses and organizations –aka everybody – to make reasonable money.

How? I’m glad you asked. I can and want to use my blog site as a synergy site. Providing ad space, a place to share information, blog, podcast…do a little of it all. Go check it out, you’ll see what I have started.

Most of my listings start out at $10/monthly.  I’m good with that.  However, I’m a one dude show. I see a lot of potential for growth for the site, and I’ll get there.  But, I figure working as a group we might all be able to get there.

This is becoming a novel…but I’ll wrap it up shortly…

As I have said before, everyone has a part, you just have to figure out what it is.  If you are good at meeting people, selling, and communicating – get with the bloggers in the group, find out what they charge, add something in it for yourself, and let’s get it moving.

If you are a blogger with space on your blog for promoting others, let it be made known in the group.  Writers, self-publishers, and others may have opportunities available. You never know.

If you are a proof-reader, graphics designer, or artist, find out how you can assist others in the group in exchange for a listing or ad about your services on their website…. And so on and so forth with whatever your skill or talent may be. This is not new or novel, I just haven’t seen it work elsewhere the way that I have imagined, so here we are. What can we do?
