The Green Party Platform is Still There; and They are Still on Mission

The main elections are over… still got that runoff in Georgia though…  Go Warnock!  I wanted to see what progressives were still out there on mission and on point since the excitement has calmed and the fog has cleared.

To my contentment, many were still out there.  Talking, blogging, writing, and informing people about issues and important topics that need to be addressed.  And there they were, The Green Party Folks, unbothered about election turnouts and; still Continue reading “The Green Party Platform is Still There; and They are Still on Mission”

It Felt Like I Just Freed Up Part of My Brain😳

Happy Holidays!

I was just watching a  Netflix show called The Social Dilemma.  It was talking about how many of the platforms, including browsers and search engines are designed to manipulate our behavior.  I kinda knew that, but… it was one of those pieces of knowledge that you just stick in the back of the brain– for future use.😏

Anyway, I wanted to test that theory, so I cut off my phone.  I did not put it on vibrate.  I did not put it on silent.  I did not put it in airplane mode.  I cut it off. 😳 When I say that it felt like I freed up a portion of my brain, Continue reading “It Felt Like I Just Freed Up Part of My Brain😳”

Let’s Talk About Salt

The other day, I was sitting at the table and was trying to decide which salt to use;  Table Salt or Sea Salt.  My inner self quietly asked, “why do you need to add extra salt at all?”  And I replied:  Because I want it!! I love that taste and flavor!   So, I reached over and added a “little” of each. 😳  Yep, I did that.  Now, I’m writing about why–amongst other things.

I usually reach for the salt shaker because of habit.  In my younger years, when I exercised a lot, or did a lot of manual work, it wasn’t an issue because I got a chance to sweat a lot.  Which, I think that might be the case for many people.  But now, I have a need to create a new habit.  Paying more attention to what and how I eat.

I’ve actually been moving in that direction for quite a while …since my days in the military.  But, Continue reading “Let’s Talk About Salt”

Reasons Why Progressives Should Run The House and Senate, Forever.

Taking Congress over from the Republicans and Democrats forever, should be a goal for every Progressive. I believe Progressives have the right mind set and intent to govern for the people.  Whereas, the Republicans and Democrats have proven their intentions to govern for corporate America for the past 50 years.  Therefore, I’m making a case for Progressive governing.  I’m sure there are so many more reasons, but, this is a good start… Continue reading “Reasons Why Progressives Should Run The House and Senate, Forever.”

I Think We Should Work Harder at Getting ‘Work From Home’ and ‘School From Home’ Right

Personally, I think we should work harder at getting Work From Home and School From Home right.  This pandemic is rough and it’s not the first nor will it probably be the last problem in this ‘brave new world’ we are facing.

I think many people have looked at these two solutions as temporary fixes as opposed to working on them as long term cures that could potentially help out a lot of people.  Do you think people like driving 20 – 30 miles to a job where they only make between $7.25 and $12 an hour?  Especially if they could do the work from home?

Home schooling has actually been around for a long time.  This period has been an opportunity Continue reading “I Think We Should Work Harder at Getting ‘Work From Home’ and ‘School From Home’ Right”
