“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” –St. John 4:24

I wanted to write about this verse, but initially, I was stumped.  Jesus had said it all.  Then the question came to me, “What is a spirit?”  …so I looked it up.

One definition of the word spirit is: ‘the nonphysical part of a person that is the seat of emotions and character, the soul.’  That’s beautiful right?

fearNot

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness…”  –Isaiah 41:10

Often, we face situations when fear and doubt try to flood into our hearts and mind to create panic and despair.   In those times we should remember that many years ago it was written in the word that we should fear not, remain calm and know that God is with us.  And whether you acknowledge God as God… or some source of your inner power and strength; know that He is there and is always willing and able to help—if you allow it.  When you do, you will see that you have more ability than you ever imagined.  And, after you receive Him, be thankful and glad.

Judge not , that ye be not judged.  For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you…again“.  ~Matthew 7:1-2

In other words, stop walking around, spending all your time in other folk’s business– criticizing and bemoaning. Work on your own personal problems, forgive yourself and live! Let it go.  Just. Let. It. Go.

“Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” –Psalm 46:10

[ Sometimes when faced with adversity, we want to rush.  Rush to come up with an answer; rush to solve the problem… and almost panic to be resolved of the situation!  What Psalm 46:10 is actually telling us to do is– get quiet; look and listen closely.  In that quietness be confident that you will be victorious. Patiently wait for the right answer and listen closely to the calm voice of God to direct you.  Yes, it is hard–but you can do it.]
