The Lord (Word) Shall Be An Everlasting Light

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord (Word) shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God (Creator) thy glory.  Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

~Isaiah 60: 19-20

Be Confident In Who You Are; You might not be doing anything wrong.

This is my encouraging word for today… Be. Confident. In. Who. You. Are.  Self-esteem is a game changer.  I would venture to say that it’s not always “you’re doing something wrong”. You just haven’t found your tribe; your clique; your team.

“You’re doing something wrong” seems to be the go to answer when others find your actions out of alignment with their thinking and or timing.  Apparently, that statement, and framework of thinking isn’t applied equally towards everyone.  And, if it they were, how few people seem to listen.

In my varied life experiences, I’ve seen people who follow the rules and try to do everything “right” and still don’t seem to progress as much as they desire. Yet, people, who we’ve all wondered “How the hell did they even learn to breathe“; seem to have immeasurable success!

So, what’s really going on?  Maybe, you are doing it right; but, not for the people you are currently dealing with; or the time in which you are dealing with them.  Maybe it’s time to find your clique.  Find the group of folks that appreciate who you are and what you have to offer.  Find a team that you can help and who are willing to help you.  Find the tribe that you can associate with– where you can breathe deeply, and laugh out loud with.   Race, religion, color most likely will have nothing to do with these people.  Because they will be the people who live way beyond those boundaries; and who simply want to win and see others winning in their own right.  No judgement, no fake competition, no stress.   WARNING:  That group might be small, and it may take some time to find them,  but fine them you must!   The next question…. What do you do with everybody else?  Answer:  #GoldenRule, stay praying, and know that they are trying to live their best life too.  #LetsGo  #StayWinning

P.S.  Imma still talk about crazy shit that I see tho 👀😁🤤

God is Not a Man… Numbers 23:19

Quote "God is not a man that he should lie" on a mountain and sky background

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said and shall he not do it? Or, hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Numbers 23:19

It’s been a while since I’ve written any inspirational notes or encouragements here.  I think about them a lot– internally, but just haven’t put anything down.

Today, I have something for you to think about from Numbers 23:19.  “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said and shall he not do it? Or, hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”  …Awesome– in so many ways.  But the long and short of it all, I believe, is that God (YHWH) is saying, I’m different.

For a while now, a concept keeps coming back Read More

How did I get here and how do I get out?

How many people have said: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result”? It’s so true. Sad but true. Different people, different drugs, different lies, different churches, different jobs,  you name it, but it’s still the same thing over and over again. Why do we think the way we think? Why do we do what we do? The other day I was thinking about how I got to be at one of the lowest points in my life. But this time, instead of despairing, I remembered Read More

New beginnings….

2nd Corinthians 7:1 (MSG) – With promises like this to pull us on, dear friends, let’s make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts us, both within and without. Lets make our entire lives fit and holy temples for the worship of God.

So how do we get a new beginning? We’ve made mistakes. Ok…let’s be honest, we flat out rolled around in sin…enjoyed it even. It doesn’t really matter what brand of sin you were in; from lying to murder…it’s all sin. The Bible says sin has pleasure for a season. But did you REALLY enjoy it? Do you remember the last time you felt close to God? Do you remember when the Bible spoke to you with clarity? Have you ever prayed, “I miss you God”? That’s actually the reason I started this blog. I am in this place right now. I missed the voice of God. I missed feeling “whole”. This blog isn’t for everyone. Its for those of us who, like me, lost their way for a little while.

The good news is, you and I are actually ripe for Read More
