“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said and shall he not do it? Or, hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
It’s been a while since I’ve written any inspirational notes or encouragements here. I think about them a lot– internally, but just haven’t put anything down.
Today, I have something for you to think about from Numbers 23:19. “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said and shall he not do it? Or, hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” …Awesome– in so many ways. But the long and short of it all, I believe, is that God (YHWH) is saying, I’m different.
How many people have said: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result”? It’s so true. Sad but true. Different people, different drugs, different lies, different churches, different jobs, you name it, but it’s still the same thing over and over again. Why do we think the way we think? Why do we do what we do? The other day I was thinking about how I got to be at one of the lowest points in my life. But this time, instead of despairing, I remembered Continue reading “How did I get here and how do I get out?”→
2nd Corinthians 7:1 (MSG) – With promises like this to pull us on, dear friends, let’s make a clean break with everything that defiles or distracts us, both within and without. Lets make our entire lives fit and holy temples for the worship of God.

It doesn’t really matter what brand of sin you were in; from lying to murder…it’s all sin. The Bible says sin has pleasure for a season. But did you REALLY enjoy it? Do you remember the last time you felt close to God? Do you remember when the Bible spoke to you with clarity? Have you ever prayed, “I miss you God”? That’s actually the reason I started this blog. I am in this place right now. I missed the voice of God. I missed feeling “whole”. This blog isn’t for everyone. Its for those of us who, like me, lost their way for a little while.
Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3… Deep reading. Of the many chapters and verses in the Bible, these are amongst the most profound.
Both poetic and timeless, these scriptures are forever applicable in the everyday life of Man. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…” –the chapter starts. Right away, as a reader, I feel that there is a purpose for my current circumstance—good or bad.
“…like crabs in a basket…”… A derogatory remark, normally associated with a group who is either fighting against each other; or who is trying to hold others in the group back so much so, that there is no chance of progression.
