Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3… Deep reading. Of the many chapters and verses in the Bible, these are amongst the most profound.
Both poetic and timeless, these scriptures are forever applicable in the everyday life of Man. “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…” –the chapter starts. Right away, as a reader, I feel that there is a purpose for my current circumstance—good or bad.
Have you ever wanted to try something new, like go on a trip, start a new business or even ask for a raise (instead of just settling for the incremental increase); or maybe face a difficult problem head on? If so, go for it.
When you look in the mirror, or take a moment of reflection, how do you see “you”?
Do you like or dislike yourself? Are you good or are you bad? Are you a winner or a loser?
I don’t know too many people who actually ask themselves these questions every time they see their reflection or see themselves in the mirror; but should we? Should we take more mini-self evaluations to determine where we are?
Low self-esteem is a problem that I believe many people face. I also believe that having an opinion of yourself of being worthless is a hard nut to crack when trying to recover from a bad situation. Continue reading “How do you see yourself?”→
